      ... and nunnery which is now just a church and all that remains are the external walls. We walked through the quirky, hilly streets, explored their 'private' beaches where you have to pay to get on the beach and even more to hire a sun-bed or use the change rooms! Something we couldn't get our heads around! Apparently all the public beaches are further out of town and aren't very nice at all.

      ... the way down by letting us follow them. Thankfully they did this as the way down is via a series of escalators and marble lined tunnels, via the train station. We emerged out onto a busy street on sea level now and said goodbye and thanks. The older of the two guys said that he was an pro in his younger days and he had just been up to the Col de Galiber and done the 200km loop that we are planning to do next week.       ... than 5 minutes and we almost get robbed, what happened to France being romantic?! So we had train station food and waited in the official waiting room which had security posted at both doors. Longest 1 hour of my life!

      Then we finally got to beautiful Nice...Ah! Step outside and breathe in the fresh ai...wait a sec, what is that smell? Oh, hobo fire, nice...Well so much for feeling better about France after leaving ...

      ... pics of all the nice cars hoping the owner would see me and wisk me away to his million dollar mansion! (no such luck). We arrived home from Monaco about 11 and a few of the guys were keen for a drink so I agreed to one... But of course the bar we go into has 4€ jagers!! That was the end of me... 9 jagers later we all moved to the club we had been at the previous night and kicked on til ...
