          Cannes ain't so hot!

A travel blog entry by angrygaza on Sep 05, 2014

So we got ourselves ready earlier today and made our way to the train station to head to Cannes. Our tickets for both of us return costed us € we were hoping it was going to be worth it. It was a 45min train ride...along some pretty nice coastline....and then we got to Cannes.Well.....what a **** hole haha!! Ummm we stayed there for all of 40mins I think it was and then we jumped straight back on the train back to Nice! ...

... around a fountain in the middle of Nice.....

Back to the hotel we had forgotten that we needed to check in still, we did that with as much haste as possible and then headed out to where we thought we were all meeting.

Maybe we were late, maybe we were in the wrong place, maybe they didn't turn up, whatever the case it was probably a blessign in disguise as waking up we were patchy on details and amazed to still have wallets, phones and all ...

We hit lots of tunnels and toll roads today as we hugged the Italian Riveria. Our planned lunch stop was going to be Portofino, a small bay with cliff side restaurants and ...

... same train, but the same carriage and 2 seats down from the girls! I suppose we were meant to spend some more time together. Sometimes I wonder… what is fate? Some strange superpower of sorts controlling us all, like the movie – The Adjustment Bureau – I saw a few months ago, dictating who we meet, when, where and why? Or is it in fact our concerted efforts that we bring new people into our lives, enjoy their companionship and secretly hoping that they stay in our ...

Another typical start to the day, a walk into Winsdor followed by a session at Curves Gym, prediction of 33 degrees today so getting things done early before its too hot to think or move ! At one we walked back into Windsor caught the train to Feltham then the bus to Heathrow. We caught up with Anita in the exec lounge , which was neat as we've ...
