... br> We were told to order “Red Red Wine” in the bar, which we only gave a score of “One in Ten”, and to top it off they had “A Rat in the Kitchen”. But it turned out the bar was owned by the drummer of the band UB40 – so that explained everything!
So another 193 miles further away from home and another new place to explore. Cheap and sunny, we are really enjoying Croatia.
After a very good night’s sleep under our mozzie net and a lazy breakfast on our sunny terrace overlooking the bay, we headed down to the local market to buy some fresh food for dinner. What a fantastic market they have in Rovinj – bundles of fresh fruit, vegetables and salad, fresh fish and meat. And so cheap too – our shopping cost no more than £5.50! ...
... a one month old baby that was lowered into the water by her parents next to us didn’t mutter a sound…bloody kids, always there to show you up!
We decided to abort the beach once the heat of the day was in full swing and head back via some shops and local lanes where we found out that Thursday is ‘washing day’ in Rovinj. We had read about that before we arrived that you should beware of locals throwing ...
We have been busy floating abroad over the last week or so with little amounts of internet to update with photos.
Anyone who has one of us on Facebook has been kept quite up to date with a few daily photos also!

... through. It was a challange to drive there.
We went to Stara Baska next. Now that was a nice trip! We went all the way to the end of yhe road and were surprised to find a nice little secluded bay where you could swim. We got our swimming stuff and hopped on down to the beach. That was nice. The water was cristal clear and boy... Even more cold than the other places we had swom. The view from the water ...
