Back home by walking as it would be a 30 minute wait for the bus, we get back for 10.30 and are in bed once diaries are done by 11am. ... br> Tonight we are camped at Mammoth lakes, it's beautiful here. We are still at around 7500ft. It is nestled in the woods and there are signs everywhere warning us about bears an not to leave food in cars. It reminds me a lot of the summer vacation towns you see families go to in the movies.
Tomorrow we start descending down towards Death Valley to kick off the hottest part of the trip! (Thankfully it will be dry heat instead of the 90% humidity in New Orleans!)
... the most delicious dessert ever at Ghiredllias!!!! The girls had hot fudge sundaes and I had a sea salt caramel sundae. Oh my goodness it was delicious and so worth the over indulge in every way. Then the sugar rush hit the girls and we bounced home. Our walk was only a block so the sugar was still running hard through them when we returned.
