    Another fine breakfast. Scrambled egg juice to ea good bread and salad Tram to Centrale stn (1.50) then Frecciarossa high speed train to Bologna. 40€ plus 3.50booking fee. Great train - smooth and stable at 280kph. 1 hr trip. Very flat farmland with old brick 2 story farmhouses. Mainly veg and grapes and couple chook/pig sheds. Lost way around station looking for hotel which transpired was only 400m along same ...

    ... me :-) Over lunch Joanna mentioned a a walk to a great viewing point just pitside the old city walls through 666 porticos. I thought it would be a great idea to go for a walk after such a big lunch and a very late lunch, I think I left at around 4pm.     ... I couldn't get the first door to open - it flashed green but the door seemed to be jammed. Just as I was heading back to reception, one of the bar staff walked around the corner so I asked him for assistance. He tried and tried and tried.
