    ... true for both the Union and the Confederacy. Andersonville was truly a horrible place.

    The visitor’s center has a very good film about the prison. Also on the grounds is the National Prisoner of War Camp which honors and remembers American POWs in all wars since the Revolution. There is also an excellent film with readings from deceased prisoners of all wars and lots of interviews with living POWs from World ...

    ... ie..batten down the hatches!! There was a lull until about midnight - then I proceeded through the night - in what best described as going through a continuous car wash!!...boy did it rain. I kept checking the outside ground to make sure there wasn't some creek rising up to get me!! Still rain this am...but warm again. Enough weather!!...boring-- but we do like to talk about it!!! Moving on - south into Florida today ...where to stay on this Christmas Eve??...somewhere dry I ...

    ... the States and has an award-winning film presentation.

    Outside of the museum is a monument which marks the exact spot where Davis was captured. Still standing near this mark is an old Longleaf Pine which is over 150 years old and was standing at the time of his capture on May 10, 1865. As the Union army advanced on Davis, there were two separate troops (one from Wisconsin and the other from Michigan) ...

    ... when we got to the top of the first climb!!! We made the very wise choice of buying a platinum flash pass, which meant we could reserve our ride times and skip the queue, and also stay on the coasters for two consecutive rides- definitely worth it!!! And did I mention that it was 97 degrees?!!! Another reason queue jumping was so good! After Six Flags it was a short 2 ...
