Today we did a tour starting from Nice, heading along the coast to Antibes, then onto Cannes where the film festival had finished last week (thank goodness). We then went up into the countryside and went to Grasse, where we did a tour of the Fragonard Perfumery manufacturers. Very big in ...

For dinner, Dad had scallops over risotto made with canaroli rice (the real, rare rice that is best for risotto but is always never used - instead most restaurants use the cheaper arborio rice). Another great day in Nice!

We returned to this area many times and had to do the ice skating. We all loved it.

... br> On to Nice, and it is beautiful (except the beach itself which is just rocks).
Our room is top floor, huge lounge room, big bedroom, and big ensuite. All with a massive wraparound balcony on the corner room - directly overlooking the Mediterranean.
Honestly, I had to ask the reception twice if there were any more room charges to pay, as it looks like we got it for about 1/5 normal price.
    Tomorrow we do Nice
