... It is the weirdest most interesting place I've ever seen. Seriously could have sat at the cafe in Plaza de la comedia all day (or many more) and people watched. Some super talented street performers, some not so talented street performers and an array of all types of artistry, homeless, vagabonds and drifters. Very interesting! I found the old town nearby and saw the Parc de la colline du chateau, or rather, Castle Hill, the remains of a castle that was dismantled by soldiers of King Louis XIV in 1706. As you can imagine, the landscape is also quite stunning with pristine blue water on one side and a majestic mountain on the other. We walked up ...

... my ENG (medical certificate to work on boats). Chris was off as well so he rode with me to spend the day in Antibes. We spent the day walking around, drinking wine and eating cheese and taking in the scenery. We took the train to get back to Nice for a BBQ party we were having on the boat. Walking back, we came across a square with "fountains" spurting out of the ground and children running through them. So naturally we decided it looked like a pretty good time and joined ...

... really hot. Dean got a new hat.

It's hard being here today. It feels like the world should stop spinning, but it doesn't. We just have to keep going... We wish we could be with everyone. We are trying to think of how much Grandad loved that we are seeing the world - especially where he came from.

Driving all afternoon. Glad to be able to just sit and do nothing.

We were really glad we chose ...
