... Our plan was to visit the supermarket on the way back and get food for dinner. Jess had apparently spied a bigger supermarket than the one we'd visited on Sunday, and so she requested that I drive her to that one. However she didn't know where it was, just that we'd passed it "at some point" near the hostel. We passed the one we had already visited, but the one Jess was talking about wasn't to be found. We got all the way back to the hostel and still hadn't passed it. ...

Train eventually arrived in Prague and we stepped out into a much more modern train station than we had been used to. First sign of the differences with the last two stops.

We found a ticket office and got sorted to get us on the subway, found the house and checked in with the hosts who got a bit of a surprise when four people turned up as they had only expected two. ... I arrived in Prague!! I did the free walking tour around the city and got to see the Astronomical clock and the Jewish area where they have a cemetery that isn't built outwards but upwards so people are buried on top of each other. I then walked around the Prague castle and got amazing views if the city. Then walked back down along the Charles bridge that was covered in tourists and stalls selling photos and jewelry. I did a day trip out to Kutna Hora which is a ...

Prague was a full of surprises, starting with our hotel - Nh Prague. At reception we were told our room was in The Executive Hotel and that was should proceed to the cable car (!) and check in at the reception desk there. Sure enough, around the corner was a door like a lift that a viewing panel showed led to a very steep incline! We pressed the button and waited. A red box about the size of a telephone booth (remember those?) appeared ...

... and had the grand tour. Both sides of the river, for about 50mins. Lots of Info and Will thought it was so cool!

Our tour finished at the Prague Castle where we walked through the grounds checking out the medieval churches and old palaces. Haydn's foot was holding out so he and I decided to climb the Great Tower for the best pictures of Prague. All 289 spiral steps! And it was so worth it...a beautiful day and I got some nice ...
