After having discussed this situation with my current employer, I decided to go for it! After the selection procedure, I got the official letter of acceptance: I would serve on the Africa Mercy from Jan - June. A new year, a new adventure!

It's easier to wake up as the sun rises VERY early in the summer here. Today is cool but sunny with the birds singing. Another breakfast in the garden day--and today we have some of the sugar bread (it is REALLY good!), whole grain bread and butter, hard boiled eggs, sliced cheeses, salmon, fresh fruit, tea and coffee.
