Gee lucky we had done some activity because it was a huge meal and only about $17 per person. After being home a bit, we needed to go for a walk due to still being massively full from lunch. It has about 5 rooms and is decorated to look like someone's house, very cosy and most importantly warm. We were able to check in and settle before being taken into town for a meal. ... of hiking up and skiing the mellower slopes we had hiked up two days before. It was not to be as the upper lifts were closed due to storm and winds. Back into the car we set off back to Norikura and the Wakaguri trees of our first day. And it was windy and stormy. Lars found great snow as usual and we had some great skiing. Taking off skis prior to the run was huge challenge the first run, a gale blowing and tracks filling in almost immediately. Back at the ...

We woke this morning to more snow, big fluffy flakes pouring down. Breakfast this morning was a plethora of small dishes delicately placed on our table. Vegetables were steamed with the onsen spring water in front of us while we blanched mushroom, spinach and pork in a broth on our table. Miso, pickled vegetables, partly cooked egg, tofu, seared salmon were just some of the other items we had. After breakfast we headed off to the famous onsen here. There is nothing ...
