... wonderful to just be accompanied by my new found cuckoo bird sounds. Passing lush fields, beautiful monasteries and babbling brooks, truly magic. This morning I had my music playing so the only other sound in the early morning (to me anyway) was me warbling away to my fav songs, naturally one was The Kits "modern love".

... something the British have perfected - the half hug? I.e. when you put one arm loosely around the other person's shoulder and air kiss their cheek? Or the male version, which involves a clap hand grasp followed by a sort of hug?

... We walked to the town of Najera, where we visited the monastery of Santa Maria de Real, the final resting place of many of Navarre's medieval kings. The walk was about 9 kilometres, and the weather quite warm - we passed a few fellow pilgrims on the way, two on horses.
