... host was delightful and helpful throughout the day and at dinner. Our fellow pilgrims at dinner were a couple from Germany, a lady from Belgium, two American guys, one from Idaho and the other from Oregon. Today was a great day. We walked a good distance without being so tired at the finish. We stayed at a very nice place, met some interesting people, had a delicious dinner and are renewed for what tomorrow may bring. Walked today: 12.9 mi. Walked 2014: 84.4 mi. Walked total: 131.6 ...

I want them to do 31km tomorrow and then I'll give them a nice 21km day. They're still protesting! A fair bit of mud thanks to the rain and a few steps can have you lifting a kilo per foot and it's not that easy to get off! And it's just a bit like ice skating but only in boots on mud!

Day started wonderful ...

... Columbia. Also, anyone on a gluten free diet or low carb diet would surely starve in Spain. Bread or pastry for breakfast, bread for lunch and always bread for dinner. And not a obese person in sight. I love bread but even this is a lot for me. A lot of the hiking on the Camino it's actually right beside the road. It is great for cycling because we can choose the road or the path. Some of the roads are ...
