... looking the lake and back down, and down and round and down!!!!! Taking in stunning views, a walk to a hermitage retreat and monestery and a beautiful Romanesque church. Spent the afternoon in the garden, Al Lago before our final dinner in the hotel. Tomorrow, we head off after breakfast , quick stop off in the town of Salo at the bottom of the lake before returning our trusty Italian stallion hire car ( or similar ) and flight home. ... an afternoon stop. The good news for the long term is that the local Italian flying community have developed there own brush system which completely improves the original factory system, so we are also retrofitting that. So losing a day, but will pay back in the future.

... It's such a shame I can't speak Italian. It feels like part of my heritage is missing. Tired, cold and wet so off back to the B&B to dry off and snack on some apricots I'd purchased on my wanderings. Lovely and ripe and at EUR 3 per kg five of them only cost me 56 cents! Now sitting in the lounge of the B&B with a cuppa and looking at the beautiful white snow on the mountains. Looking forward to seeing more snow (and hopefully no rain) on the train to St Moritz ...
A day trip to Switzerland today. After rolling our cases downhill to the "main" road, we jumped on board the mini bus which was to transport us to Switzerland today. The route followed the edge of Lake Como to almost the top of the lake. Once leaving Lake Como, we followed the winding road to Chiavenna which is the last town before the Swiss border.
