... like to lie in the sun. El Capricho de Gaudi is a wonderful example of Gaudi's architecture, but on a smaller scale which I think helps you appreciate his work even more. Rather than try to describe the amazing decoration of sunflower tiles, interesting iron window seats, the attic and typical Gaudi tower I will let Clive's photos show you. The evening before we tried to anchor in a river a few miles west of San Vicente but it ended up being too shallow so we come back to San Vicente and anchored more or less where we were the previous nights.

In the morning we headed for the bus station and took the only daily bus to Fuente Te (the cable car in the Picos del Europa) which is 1 1/2 hours ...

... doing homework and going to bed. Now what am I to do??

Not only am I going to miss Santander, I am going to miss the people. We got to know Dutch, Spanish, and British people really well, and it finally hit me that it is going to be hard to see them go!

Looking ahead to this weekend, I really need some rest! There will be a LOT of touring for the next few days, and before I know it, we will all be heading home!

    Until Salamanca!

... teared up again during this! Everyone in the whole room who was from WV (quite a bit of us) were all singing along and having a great time. What a great experience! We then all got our diplomas and took a group picture. I just can't believe it's all over! It's been such a wonderful experience.

Well, tomorrow we are heading out to go to Salamanca! It will be a busy weekend, but Ashley and I will keep you posted!

We stayed in Santander at anchor and enjoyed a chill day - basically did nothing but rest and read. We're in no particular hurray.

In the morning we headed off for San Vicente. It was a very pleasant passage. Very little wind and swell, so we motored most of the the way. In the background we could see the Picos but the visibility wasn't the best, so photos would not do justice showing off this wonderful coastline.

We got to San Vicente ...
