... there we left for Spain! We have spend about one whole day in Spain so far! The prices are so much cheaper here, and so we are enjoying eating food! We found a lovely hostel in a small town a bit away from Santander, and spent today exploring it. There are some cool beaches and today we found an abandoned granary complex or something. That's my best guess for what it is. It is a HUGE chunk of land with quite a few buildings A lot of them had cool ...

... followed by a grilled fresh fish for Jack and medallions of Iberian ham with caramelized onions for me. Dessert was lemon mousse. A glass of wine, bread and a creme liqueur rounded out our meal that cost about $23 per person. Dinner was soooo good, we went back the next night. This time we had the salad as a starter which was filling. I tried the fish while Jack opted for Pulpo (octopus) in some type of mixture. He liked the octopus, just ...

... made our complaints of sore hips and scabbed heels seem trivial.

We finally had a great night sleep. We planned on a 17km day to Unquera and then taking a train to Pendueles. We called ahead and made a reservation at the hostel as there wasn't anything else in the area. This was the first time anyone took reservations. It was nice to walk without a hurry today.

          So we missed ...

We planned a short day as Ryan was recovering but still a bit queasy. The city of Comillas was literally up all night. Same scenario as last night, just a little less fireworks. The downstairs restaurant area was totally trashed. So again, no sleep. As we walked out of town drinking our coffee's we felt strangely out of place as ...
