Great hotel, incompetent staff
If you've been to Paris before and don't need any help from the staff, then this hotel is perfect. It's affordable, the rooms are huge by European standards, the decor is fun and modern, and everything is extremely clean. The location was right in between the center of the city and Sacre Cour. Unfortunately, they had some of the worst staff I've come across. They lost our reservation which they corrected. However, they never fixed it in the computer so they had to deal with the problem all over again when we checked out. Their knowledge of the city was mediocre at best. They didn't listen. When we asked them to split the bill on two credit cards they proceeded to put it on one and then would not correct it and told us that we should just refund one another. When I asked for pillows, I was asked to come to the basement to get them. The incompetence of the staff was a shame because the hotel itself was really quite wonderful.
You'll get what you'll have paid for and would expect from these reviews
This weekend we were staying in this excellent hotel. We booked this hotel via octopustravel (link on this site). Directly with the hotel it was fully booked so we had to. Don't expect to get a discount on the site. Everything in this hotel is perfectly ok without anything as surplus. The rooms are very clean, nicely air-conditioned (as it was a nice and warm weekend) but also Paris-like small. The bathroom is also very well kept (they restored the hotel a couple of years ago). The receptionist are helpfull. Breakfast is complete for a french one but for many (like me) a hotel-breakfast isn't complete without bacon and eggs (but therefor you need cooking-personel, which costs). Very positive is the fact that you do not really have the feeling of a big chain-hotel (which Best Western naturally is). Well done.
The subway is just some steps away. Line 8 is a very interesting one to start from. Lively Pigalle and Montmartre are withing walking distance. So on the whole we liked the hotel but the price could be better. They deserve their current high position.
On this second stay in Paris we loved the area 'Jardin de Luxembourg (Musée Zadkine, kidsstores,..)', the slopes in front of Beaubourg in the sun(Centre Pompidou), walking along Canal Saint Martin. Avoid Printemps and Galleries Lafayette as they will exhaust you(r lust in shopping). Don't forget to kiss eachother once in a while in the romantic capital of the world. Enjoy!
Brilliant modern hotel, super staff definately return
Super hotel helpful staff, clean bright and very modern bedrooms.
We stayed in the Best Western Lorette opera for 3 nights (31/8/04 - 3/9/04). We were very Pleased. The hotel was spotlessley clean, it reminded me of a showhome! The bathroom was bigger than average the room was great, nice and comfortable and modern. I would definately reccomend this hotel. It is relatively cheap and of a very high standard. There are restaurants and bars in the immediate vacinity and St Georges tube station is literallly a 30 second walk from the hotel. If you go to Paris, you must stay in this hotel!!!
Crazy for it!!
The hotel was wonderful. The design was funky, but maintained an element of sophistication. The only complaint I have, is that they don't serve pains-au-chocolat for breakfast.
Brilliant Hotel. The rooms and hotel in general are beautiful. It is exactly as it looks on the best western website.
It is really well located, only a few yards to the St Georges Metro stop.
Breakfast lovely, but expensive if it is not included in your room rate.
We are going back to Paris and will definitely stay here again.
This is a good hotel, in a pleasant alcove of Paris. The decor is chic, the breakfast tasty, and the service enjoyably subtle.
Were I to visit Paris again in the next few years, I'd defintely go back to this hotel.
Why? Decent price on the internet, close to the Metro, nice enough location, good sized room, clean, friendly staff, close to Gare du Nord, air conditioning, etc etc etc.
This place is great.
I stayed here in July 2004. I really liked it. The hotel is very clean and new. The neighborhood is not the best, only about a mile south of MOULIN ROUGE. As long as you don't walk towards MOULIN ROUGE, you will be fine. I paid about $100 US per night, got it from Expedia. The prices offered by the hotel were a little higher. It's 2 minutes away from the Metro stop. I recommend this place. I would stay there again.
This is a very charming hotel in an excellent location, a 10 minute walk from Montmartre and within easy distance from the City Centre via the Metro. The staff are very helpful which, combined with the cleanliness and attractiveness of the hotel, means that I would definitely return in future.
This is an absolute fantastic hotel in the heart of Monmarte in Paris. Beautiful old building and very new rooms inside. Helpful staff, but good to know a little French as not all staff knew fluent English. Right next to St. George's Metropolitan stop and a 15-20 minute walk to the Museum area of Paris. Very close to Sacre-Coure and right in the heart of Monmarte. Stayed there twice on a recent trip to Europe and was definitely my favorite Best Western hotel.

Slept until 8 today. After 3 weeks of activity we are feeling quite tired We took the hoho bus to the opera house and did a full tour which was fantastic and glad we did that Found another great cafe for lunch. The weather app predicted 39c - given our failed attempt to escape the heat on the metro yesterday, this morning the kids and I headed to the Science and Industry museum, indoor fun!

The museum was only a block behind me and I got there and was able to walk right in. Wow. This is such a beautifully made museum. All the paintings are kept in the smaller side galleries and the thing that I live the most? No white walls. No harsh light. When 19th c. paintings are kept in this type of space, you can really get a feel for how they ...
... the bakery had probably been going since 3am, but only 3 stalls were set up in the market, and those three were really still in the process of opening! The streets were otherwise empty, and still dark. I think, like in Italy, the day here in Paris starts late, but also finishes late. I wonder how work schedules work....

... cheap enough. It wasn't as our hotel was only a 5 minute drive from the station, however you move on and the Frenchman was very friendly. The Hotel it's self we would definitely recommend, when we arrived the staff were so polite and friendly and the hotel it'self was very modern and clean. After settling into our room, we decided to go for a small walk around the area. The area is very typically French with so many Cafes and restaurants. We ...
