Finally catching up...
Traveling from Venice to Bassana, we pass Padua (Padova) a town famous for the Bascilica of San Antonio. This was not just another church ...the peaceful, prayerful, spirit filled atmosphere was tangible. Aside from the beauty there was a reverence... No noise, no cameras, no crowds milling everywhere. Wonderful!

Tom and John had found a restaurant in the back streets on a previous trip and we pushed past the tourists like locals till we got to our destination....where the owner's son runs the place with the hand of a mafioso....almost...!!!! Clam soup, seafood risotto, seafood pasta, espresso with grappa...what,...more food?? ....the night ...

Managed to hit the ground again on the way down, but the slope wasn't as steep and I was able to roll. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry though the fall certainly raised the pain threshold. Bet you didn't know that if you take a deep breath, your gluteals sense the movement. That currently translates to pain.
