The previous afternoon we decided to move from the marina and anchor a little further up the river (mostly to save money and also get off the pontoon which is a bit wobbly in the strong current).

We left Morlaix taking the afternoon HW lock and headed south west past Roscoff where we anchored in a very pleasant bay.

The following morning we left quite early and headed for our next destination, L'Aber Vrac'h.

Sailed most of the way which was nice but there was a bit of swell which made the sail hard work, but nevertheless our sailing to motoring ratio is improving.

We wanted to anchor in the river leading to L'Aber Vrac'h rather than use the marina ...

... the night in Camaret, a little seaside town which is really rather nice. I say 'the night'; we'll only be here until about 3am, as we have to leave very very early in order to get to the Raz de Sein, a tricky bit of coastline, within a certain half hour.

After that it'll be much less stressful sailing, and timing becomes less of an issue, so no more getting up in the middle of the night for a while!
