Will write this up as time permits but the highlight for me today was the visit to a little village called Apremont which is very proud of being beautiful and rightly so http://www.apremont-sur-allier.com/the% 20village.html
Before that we went to the city of Nevers.
Up and off on time. We road up and down a local road to warm up then we headed straight up to Sancerre, a hilltop, medieval village. It was 3kms up. I took it nice and steady and was able to achieve the climb without stopping or getting off.

This morning we went for a walk down the steep path from Sancerre and then to the right past the Eiffel Tower and back via the steps to the Marie and then back to our house.
