Of course as we knew this was our last day in Europe. Without hesitation for me this was the best day overall. It literally flew by in the blink of an eye. We woke up and headed the French Alps. Off to Switzerland. Headed up and over the Grand St Bernards Pass. Loved the drive up into the mountains. Finally got to the top and there was a lake full of ice that the pass drove alongside. You could see the old pathway that has been used since the bronze ages going up the valley beside the road. Had lunch in a restaurant at the top that is in the ...

It was packing day. I shoo-ed Nick and kids out and stuffed clothes into bags. It took a long time. Nick and the kids headed out to another smaller chateau called Vevey, clutching my camera. If you give your kids access to the camera, you must expect some strange results. I got back a number of close-ups of a mermaid statue's bottom. Clearly this was the highlight of the trip.
