    Lunch with an old friend

A travel blog entry by daniel.swiss on Jun 10, 2015

Today I had lunch with an old friend of mine, one of the last people I still know at my first employer. We remembered the "good old days", and we caught up with the kid's stories. I realized that his youngest is now 15; the last time I saw him, he was ...

A travel blog entry by alanad.abroad on Jun 03, 2015

Today we decided to go check out the old part of Bonn. So we decided to head out again with Phil. We said good bye to Phil on the train and he headed to his UN meetings. We rode the train a few more stops.

Then we walked back to Joel's unit to rest up before stepping out for dinner. Nicola and Kirsten called by and we all went into town to a place where we had raclette ...

You could see the old pathway that has been used since the bronze ages going up the valley beside the road. Had lunch in a restaurant at the top that is in the ...

It was packing day. I shoo-ed Nick and kids out and stuffed clothes into bags. It took a long time. Nick and the kids headed out to another smaller chateau called Vevey, clutching my camera. If you give your kids access to the camera, you must expect some strange results. I got back a number of close-ups of a mermaid statue's bottom. Clearly this was the highlight of the trip.

    Mum and I ...
