    ... had isle Flottante which was meringue floating in custard with caramel icecream. With fizzy water and a glass of pinot each 58 euro was terrific value. All the restaurant is done out with animals, rabbits, cats, sheep etc.and toile curtains in red and white..very quirky and French.Great fun. Almost inspired to make hot souffles again..haven't done one since the 70s! Off to see a friend in Tournus tomorrow so another interesting freeway ...

    Significant rain was in the forecast as we left Beaune for Burgundian Deviatio 2, heading back on the Voie de Vigne cycling route the way we had come. What to do?
