Our morning was off to an extra early start as we set our alarm for 5:30 in order to be ready for our 7:30 departure. After getting dressed we set off downstairs for our continental breakfast. Most of our group had already arrived, so we had to split up to get seats at two tables. The breakfasts in Venice have been quite basic, but better than nothing. :-)

... we found it eventually but had to queue for 45 minutes and suffer through two heavy showers before making the door. At least we had coats and an umbrella whereas others in the queue did not.
