... of the train station. We bought our tickets for day, and boarded the ferry. The lake so peaceful with the snow falling. It was hard to see the distant surroundings due to the snow falling and low level clouds. On the ferry for about 30mins, having a coffee and taking some photos of the areas surrounding the lake. ... later. Supposed to be minus four on Mount Titlis today. Also bought a lovely turkey meat and salad baguette fro Bachmanns' for lunch. Got a Mars bar and kit Kat chunky from a small convenience store to add to baguette for lunch. ... It was an amazing experience but I was starving and the peak closed in 39 minutes so I had to descend. I was exhausted. Climbing more on the peak just took all my energy. I had to push myself and now (several hours later and currently lying in bed) is one of my favorite experiences on my trip! ... is in the very heart of the old town and they told us stories of how ruthless people can get when one of the spaces become available for rent!

We had raclette with a grill on top for meat. Raclette is cheese melted in these scoops by individuals then added to potatoes, meat, pickles and salad. Another regional dish. Lots of wine and laughter to accompany the evening.

... Switzerland. It's held in January over 8 days and attracts over 50000 people. In June it has a literary festival. The city is also a hub for hiking and cycling and other adventure stuff. There's some classic, well signposted, long distance high altitude hikes like the Jura Crest Train or more leisurely or rambling hikes through undulating farming country. In all a pretty good place to spend the day.
