    ... were made by stacking stones (stones is probably an understatement - these are big boulders) into a self supporting conical shape with a large (3 metre wide) slab of granite at the top. Impressive. This village was discovered in then1950's and has not been completely explored yet. This village dates from about 900BC. That's old, really old. I wonder how they made these structures, what they were wearing, what the kids ...

    ... some good looking performers! Stew managed to prove that he is his mothers son and bought ridiculously priced noisy flashing toys for the kids. After watching the Hawks win the Grand Final (Stew says this deserves a whole new blog) early Saturday morning on Stews little laptop we drove up into the mountains (1500m).     ... They were tryingto entice their SON to eat his food. Reminded us of someone.
    Sorry should have explained the pom in yesterdays blog. We kept on running into this british couple. Beach, restaurant in the street at Cagliari and lastly at the nuraghe site. By this time we were on hugging status.
    There r a lot of germans tourist. I (ann) keep getting mistaken for a german - bloody insult - sorry Mary.

    ... the pirates and beautiful stonewalls with limestone caves etc. Lots of photos here, always a sign that I really like the place. After doing a boat tour around the harbour, I took a little train up to the old town/ bastion. When I came back there was nothing like a rose in the sun! Overall this reminds me more of a Greek Island, not sure which one, than say Sicily. I can see Sardinia on the horizon, only 12 km away so will be interesting to compare them in the ...
