We were hungry when we arrived so of course, managed to find the patisserie for a chocolate croissant! So good!!!!!! We wandered around the gorgeous little town, bought a bottle of cider, and enjoyed it back at the van with some baguette and cheese. We stayed at a free Aire just down the road from the town. It was busy, we got almost the last ...

Steve had been really excited to see one of these so he hurried over and descended down the stairs and disappeared within it. I circled around it and saw that there were no windows in this bunker. I assume that they had been filled in since the war. I followed Steves lead and descended into the bunker to take a more personal look. I am thankful that ...

... beach resort town with golden sandy beaches, colorful umbrellas, semi-warm water and well, sun. A quick 2 hour train ride from Paris.

Good advice. So I took it.

I spent the day today on the sand. Slipping in and out of a dozing position (with odd sunburns to prove it). Got a pizza about 4pm and devoured it. Took a walk, felt the warm water and soft sand. Okay, I’ll stay tomorrow (if it doesn’t rain too much). Ate my fill of ...
