... it was a pebble beach but the pebbles were as big as potatoes, and I don't mean the potatoes you have in a salad, I mean jacket potatoes, but I don't mean cooked jacket potatoes because they'd have been all soft and warm and would have moulded to your shape as you lay on them, no I mean hard cold jacket potatoes. Now, we had to get this down to just over 17 pounds. Not so easy, when our suitcases were already at the near 50 pound limit. Luckily we had a small day bag that came to the rescue as an emergency carry on (Dad's luggage scale also came in very handy) and we got all the weight distributed. Of course, when we got to ...

... the area (Menton, France) in English, but we did have all the very good reviews in English to go on. The 'apartment' advertised on AirBnB had beautiful photos of the bedroom and bathroom and stunning Mediterranean views. On our way to the 'apartment' we stopped at the supermarket to stock up with groceries for the next 3 days meals. The 'apartment' was located 6km up a winding switch-back road, only wide enough for one vehicle, and on the way I commented to Ron that ...
