    ... taking it easy on bendy roads was fun. We went out of town together but then he was heading where I had come from. Nice fella tho, and I did have to say I thought his country was beautiful.

    Dad and Maureen have elected for a lay day given our big day yesterday. Kate, Steve and I however decided to follow our original plan and go to San Tropez, so we headed off on the Autostrada for the port of San Raphael to catch a ferry to San Tropez. I took over the front seat position and also Dad's role of narrating the crazy French driving. 'OMG that guy only just missed our front quarter'! We managed to work out the ferry and boarded. It has 4 bed rooms, 3 Bathrooms, a great swimming pool, some very good hammocks for sleeping in and a decent front lawn.     ... picked it up but it's an absolute poverty model. It's three cylinders and must be no more than 1200cc. It couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding. I can only overtake if its downhill and my windows are wound up.
