    ... bought a house here. The port is picture-postcard perfect, the backstreets charming and the boutiques chic. The fine beaches lie outside the town. We walked the cobbled streets noting that very little opens here, as in most parts of Europe before 10:00. Eventually we all decided to sit and watch the 'beautiful people' and to do so we needed to stop into a restaurant and have coffee (8:00 euro for a cappuccino = $12:00).     Jan, Nic and I took the van to the little town of Villecroze to go to the market. The small market was set below big, old trees. We had a lovely time at one stall where we tried lots of different types of tapenade. We settled on sundried tomato n ginger and green pepper, as well as beautiful olives with garlic. Jan also made a couple of clothes purchases. Naturally, we had to join cafe society...good coffee ...

    ... picked it up but it's an absolute poverty model. It's three cylinders and must be no more than 1200cc. It couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding. I can only overtake if its downhill and my windows are wound up. I know I said I was heading for the Mediterranean coast but I got to the small town i was aiming for and there was a sign saying the 4,000 car park was full ! That was my cue to leave.     ... to while I was practicing driving. No joke, this town was filled with cats. That's my kind of town! Haha. This region is really pretty when it's not raining.
