    We exited les Contamines on a rocky path through the "forest". It was very pretty as it went right next to the stream. After half an hour we started the uphill descent. A family using donkeys to carry their load made us all jealous. The path had trees on either side and we stopped over a bridge to see a fairy tale river run beneath us.
