    ... not without some frustration with a GPS unit that ran our of battery at a vital time when they were approaching Firenze. Both of them needed a strong cuppa when they arrived.     ... we continued on our upward journey, climbing up a path following a riverbed. This was the major climb of the day. We finally reached the top (4000 feet up from our start). Pretty windy and cold and we took a short break in the hut on top specially built for that purpose.
