... the gardens, we're going to drive 70 miles there then back on ourselves on exactly the same road before heading to the next site. Not the most efficient move we've ever made but we weighed it up and reckon it'll be worth it. Another lovely light evening, not as chilly as the previous couple. We watched Rain Man movie with vino, snacks and nibbles before last bed in Le ...

... pilgrimages, one on the Sahara and one on women with headscarves (I'm sure its meaning is deeper than that but I couldn't translate!) All very interesting.... A leisurely morning. Jon was up and sorted then did some guitar practice with Prego whilst I showered. A decent 80 mile drive and a 16 Euro toll. We arrived at Camping Le Pont Romain, ACSI 1458 at lunchtime so had to wait two hours for reception to reopen so we headed to a supermarket. We were pretty miffed that the book had claimed "a few kilometres from the town centre" and we are actually 5 miles from Le Mans. We looked on the satnav for any campsites closer ...

Wow. This is one of the nicest campsites we've been to, and that's coming from a die hard Martragny addict. We arrived about 7 ( had a fight with the sat nav) and immediately saw people in swim suits walking around and had the fantastic idea of taking the kids off to the pool while Hank sorted the tent out. So off we toddled and had a ...
