Our target for the day was to explore the Auvergne area, and see the landscapes with more than 400 volcanoes. Some of the volcanoes are as old as 65 million years, and the youngest about 7'600 years.

The family only use it for holidays now but open it to the public to generate some form of income to keep it going, looked terribly hard to maintain and with so many chateau's in the area I imagine it would be tough competing for the tourist dollar. ... back to town, we went to the super mâché (supermarket) and bought supplies...wine, bread, eggs...and pasta for a home cooked meal. Nice for a change as although we are still enjoying the local fare, we are aware of the costs of eating out each night. Unfortunately we must leave this town after only two nights, we so wish we could have stayed longer, there was so much more to see and experience, it is somewhere we would like to come back and spend more time. I left Négrèville, had luck at Granville and followed to route of the bay to Mont St Michele. The journey was a pleasure compared to yesterday, although as I approached the Mont it was such a beautiful sight I kept looking at it for too long whilst riding along a very windey road.

Quand on ne faisait pas du baby sitting, on s'est baladé en ville. On est aussi monté en haut du Puy Mary pour avoir une vue grandiose sur les volcans ...
