The main aims of this journey I'd say are to learn, about historic and modern culture, to relax and feel the outdoors, and to enjoy a sense of adventure and variation.
I had few definite deadlines or destinations before Christmas, apart from the glaringly prominent flight to Ireland for my friends wedding which meant I had to be in ...

We are now 2/3 of the way down the French west coast and things are changing. Up north, thatched roofs, slate and clay tile roofs, no verandahs, traditional European housing, soft French accents. Down here, the Spanish influence. White walls, terracotta tile roofs, verandahs, and a harsher accent.
