The third day we headed into Bordeaux. It was so hot, about 37 degrees, but such a beautiful city. We were going to do the 70 minute bus or 60 minute guided train around the city but found a map and decided to do our own tour with Jim reading the map and me taking the photos, perfect.

We drove back to Hotel Mermoz and hung out with the gang for a while. The weather began to cool off and it started to rain. Most group walked into the main part of town to find a spot for dinner; some of us followed in the van. We settled on a very pleasant pizza & pasta place.
