After another wonderful walk around this great city I made my way to the railway station to meet the group and board our train to the town of Thun which is situated on the banks of Lake Thun.

As we passed Thun earlier on the train to Bern I noticed a old paddle steamer parked up in the docks and was hoping this was going to be our ship back to Interlaken ...

... herd as their ethereal forms move about the mountain, in search of grass they can no longer taste. When we finally made it down from the trail, fortunately avalanche free, we had a quick drink at base camp and then it was time for me to say goodbye. It was quite sad to leave the family behind, but their adventures in Europe will continue… as will ...

I departed from Montreux and headed via the train to Interlaken. I took the Panoramic Express, which took 3 hours. Along the way I saw some very beautiful scenery of switzerland in the spring. THere are farms with little wooden house villages scattered throughout the rolling hills at the base of the mountains. In the distance you see the peaks of the Alps with a little snow left over.
