  • I went to check out the Einstein museum. It's Einstein's old apartment in Bern. The walls are covered with info on his life. One interesting fact that I didn't know is that he divorced his wife and married his cousin :/

... more regional train from Laussane to Montreux. There was some lovely scenery that we passed, and lots of cute villages. Neuchatel looked quite lovely on the edge of the lake, and Montreux looked quite magical up the top of Lake Geneva with tall hills/mountains all around covered in clouds. Unfortunately, when we arrived in Montreux we saw that the next Golden Pass train left in 5 minutes, and then there were no more for another two hours! We knew the Golden Pass took about 3 ...

By the time we crossed into Switzerland we found ourselves running to a deadline for the first time in a few weeks. We had arranged to meet our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter in western Switzerland for a few days and we needed to be at the place in three days. This was plenty of time provided the weather remained good. Our schedule would allow us to have a day in St. Moritz on the way.
