... managed to choose a train that wasn't running for another 20 minutes. And when we finally DID get on, its "transfer to the DLR" meant exiting the station, walking 2 blocks, going up several flights of stairs, and waiting on another platform...for another train that wasn't running for 15 minutes. At this point we were starting to sweat; our flight was boarding at 7:30am, and it was now 6:45am.

When we finally boarded the DLR, we discovered we were on the ...

... plans to us (as we were totally confused) and then took us to visit the Reformed Church in Belp where she is currently assigned. The church has some beautiful old paintings on the internal walls - these were painted over many years ago and are in the process of being revealed again. Nina has already preached her first sermon in this church and it was interesting to us to have her explain the work she will do within the church to provide services to the community ...

We then drove into Switzerland and got a bit of the history - interesting to note they have bombs and explosives in all there bridges and tunnels that border any of the surrounding countries and if anything happens they can detonate them and they have cities build underground to fit all the citizens in in case there are any attacks or anything which is pretty amazing for a neutral country! We are staying at ...

... Lauterbrunnen. We still couldn't see the mountains up high, but we did get some great views and were so glad to be down in the valley instead of freezing up in the mountains. We stopped in Lauterbrunnen long enough to get a small bite to eat at Airtime Cafe (soup and pot pies), which was great. By that time, it was starting to get a little chilly again. ... we transferred to the train to go up the mountain in the morning.
