      ... before returning to the train station. As it turns out we did end up missing our train from the main town back to Bordeaux. Thankfully we found a nice German/French couple who offered to take us back to the city as that was the direction of their home. All in all it was a terrific day, quite spontaneous even!       We are now 2/3 of the way down the French west coast and things are changing. Up north, thatched roofs, slate and clay tile roofs, no verandahs, traditional European housing, soft French accents. Down here, the Spanish influence.
