... from Piazza Oberdan to Opicina. Some of the sections are so steep it has to use a tug that pulls the tram up by a huge cable. Takes about 20 minutes to get to the top. From Opicina there is a walking path along the hillside to Prosecco. Its about 5ks with some stunning views of Tireste and the Adriatic sea. Pity about the cloudy skies.

16:35. ..Buttttt it's not yet. I'm currently sat in a deserted train station car park, on the Italian / Slovenian border, waiting for the bus that is supposedly replacing my train to Ljubljana. Do I think it's going to arrive? No. Am I screwed if it doesn't? Absolutely. Wish me good luck - I'm going to have a fag and whimper to myself a little bit about how I got here. Bah. ---- 17:10. The bus is here... And it is dodgy. As. ****. It's literally just me ...

... group dinner in Brtonigla. The restaurant was in a very small town, but was surprisingly large inside. Our meal started out with a Prosciutto, Salami, Cheese and Egg appetizer, along with bread and wine. I didn’t realize at the time that we had to pay for the wine, but that’s not a huge concern. The next course was a Pasta & Beef and Pasta & Mushroom dish. That was followed by a mixed salad. The main course was two ...
