... Istrian wine, Malvazija. Before this,our hosts waited for us in the rain outside of the apt. We checked in and found a newly remodeled apartment on the main pedestrian street. We love it! In the afternoon we walked around past the fishing boats and the men were fixing the nets, cutting and mending, and getting the nets ready to drop for the next day.
Walked around the the foreshore for a few kilometres and saw a huge sailing ship which had come in. There are a lot of private yachts calling in each night and mooring. A friend of David's from NZ has just been sailing down the Dalmation coast.
... yacht sailed in and I watched it dock. It was called Inception and was registered in Bimini in the Marshall Islands. It was quite an impressive sight! Later on, I asked one of the crew members a few questions about the yacht. He indicated that he works five months on and one month off, there’s a crew of 11 and the usual rate for the yacht is about $250,000 per week. It's interesting to get a glimpse of how "the other half" ...
