    ... What I found most interesting was that a lot of the bunkers were built facing the other way. I haven’t done a lot of reading on German strategy in their Atlantic Wall regarding this particular thing. My guess is that the way they built up the earth on the backside of them, it was set up that once the soldiers got over the mound, they would be mowed down.
