Palenque
... Pickup) was wohl das günstigste Transportmittel ist, nach Aqua Azul gefahren. nach dem Weg von ca. 2h dort angekommen fing es auch gleich an zu regnen. Totz Regen war es die Reise auf jedenfall Wert. Aqua Azul = Wasser blau in Deutsch, ist ein Ort mit vielen kleinen und grossen Wasserfällen wo man auch baden kann.
Am nächsten Tag früh morgens besuchten wir die Mayaruine im Jungel von Palenque, es waren ...

We visited the mayan ruins at Palenque and found a friendly and knowledgable guide for a third of the usual price. The ruins were interesting, stuffed amongst sweaty jungles and containing all manner of jade deathmasks, stone tombs and sculpted frescos to the many mayan gods.

Palenque-Its all Sweat and Blood
... according to the guides, our visit coincided with an unseasonably mild weather; hah, that’s a joke. I can’t imagine it being much worse.
