We left the Campanile Hotel at around 11am but stopped at the local Intermarche for a few supplies and some extra water before jumping on the toll road for Tournus.
The temp gauge on the Valkyrie was reading 32 degrees as we headed off, and we felt every degree of it. It was like sitting in front of a hair dryer on full power, so after about 40 minutes we had to stop to take on some fluids.
