3rd August- Our Rhine cruise over we were dropped at the train station in Basel. Turned out to be the wrong station, so it was a scramble onto a bus to find the other station. ... The food was exceptional, the service good, and we did get the waiter to smile a couple of times. All because of my lousy French. The German has worked really well this trip, but struggling a little with French. I had a rabbit terrine that was stunning, R had fried goats cheese salad. She said it was brilliant. ... goats were especially cute. There was a small white goat that was only 10 days old. All of the goats in the barn were the females and the males were out in the pasture. Each goat gives about 1.5 liters of milk per day. The farm sells goat milk as well as goat cheese. They had a tasting of goat chesse and white wine. Dennis enjoyed this stop immensely.
