... was nothing in the world that I could not do. All the things that have come easily to me were nothing in comparison to this. I could look down, hundreds of meters below me and say, I did that….and I can do so much more.   At the top, there was a small chapel in a circle of trees. I laid down and watched the clouds go by. I have seen many beautiful things on this trip, but this was by far the most beautiful moment. I was sweaty, ...

... were closed. We stopped at a café for ice cream, but we would have been happy for something more solid. We were about 2km from our refuge, and my companions had a bit of a disagreement about what we should do. Okay, they had a loud argument. One wanted to find food, the other anted to continue. We overtook some but were overtaken by others. Really enjoyable ride and not too hard at all. It gave us both great encouragement and i definitely want to attempt the even harder climb of the col de Galibier. At the top in the village Alpe D'Huez, in fact almost next door to the shop where we rented the bikes, we found ...

... an aeroplane previously, other than a school trip to Holland where I remember us being stopped at a boarder.
We were up in a spectacular mountain range which I believe was the Pyrenees and it felt like the holiday was finally getting going. Travelling on the N1 in northern Spain I was getting used to the features on the GPS unit I had brought especially for this trip, and found it had loads more information on it than I first thought, like giving ...
