Today after breakfast, we discovered that you could get bus tickets from reception which is really handy. We bought the tickets and then walked across the road to catch the bus. The location of this hotel is actually much better than the other hotel that we were going to stay in. We caught the bus to the train station and got on the hop on hop off bus again to get to the Colosseum.
We decided not to buy tickets beforehand ...
... however, they are obviously very sociable with each other. We have met some other lovely people in the last couple of days, we have been talking to an elderly German couple next to us, who speak very good English, and also a Swedish couple (who of course speak excellent English) who come from Stockholm (told them all about you, Erika x ). Today we are in Bergamo, a city that has been around since 49BC. BC stands for before christ and AD means for “anno Domini,” which is Latin for “in the year of our Lord.”
We will explore the oldest part of the city today!!!..........(Hope I don't get hit by a car!)
