... lover, and there was little evidence that the dog had been bitten at all, other than a mark on one of its legs. It is pretty difficult to know what to do in the aftermath of a rabies case, particularly as I am unsure if the charity or the government have any specific protocols for in contact animals. The general public certainly have strong opinions and seemed desperate for help. Understandably some of the locals don't view the street dogs in a particularly favourable light and have ...

... I should go to for any help and what to do when I get to Pokhara. Needless to say 2 days later I was already ditching our suitcases for new big backpacks.
I could go on with many examples, of kindness, words of encouragement from random people, job offers and all sorts of random experiences when they were needed most, if only for our egos, but honestly it has never been more clear that we are on the right track to who knows where. ...

... a room for us….wheww they did! Mom had to sleep on a mattress on the floor again, but she doesn’t mind it saves us a lot of money in the long run. Hungry we go to a restaurant recommended by the hotel, we scarf down red snapper curry with coconut milk, veggies and cheap Kingfisher (Goa is very tourist friendly thus the lack of taxes on the booze). After supper Les and Mom are off to walk and explore the town, I take a ...
