    ... chili infused fruit smoothie and local sweet bread. The highlight for us though were the Willy Wonka-esque displays of what the plants and leaves at our feet can do and that you can just pick and eat seemingly anything here. The plant which Vijeesh blew on to make all the leaves collapse in self defence before they restored themselves was fascinating, the leaves that left a temporary white tattoo on our skin were fun and the flower stalk that he split open and blew through to make bubbles ...

    ... guys, the girls, the kids - all good fun. The usual question "May I be enquiring from what country you are coming from?" and upon hearing Australia, it would usually elicit the response "Yes, Ricky Ponting!" That man is like a God here!     ... great! Once we settled in though, we noticed a sign on our bathroom door that read "please do not flush tissue down the toilet". Whaaaaa? After verifying "authenticity" of the sign with the cleaning crew, apparently we are to put tissue and other garbage in the bins so we don't clog the drains. A bit weird at first but we quickly got over it, making sure the cleaning staff did their rounds often. Surprisingly, the wifi worked great and was available all around the property, even ...

    ... Calangute Beach and then walked the beach north to Bags Beach, a distance of one or two kilometers. The beaches are beautiful, relatively clean and lined with hotels, bars, restaurants and watersport adventures (parasailing, wetbikes, speedboat rides, etc. Big crowds at the main beach access points but plenty of open space between.
