... we did eat at a little cafe - Roma Pizza that was recommended in the Rick Steves travel guide. The food was excellent from the tomato cream soup to the salad to the tortellinni to the pizza. Pizza with spicy pepperoni and Gorgonzola cheese. And, if it's possible, the prices were just as impressive. You gotta eat here!!

We returned to Speyer by 6:00 after setting up a train trip to Cologne tomorrow.

... 2 subway trains to take us to the Paris train station, however, one stop was closed so we had to make 3 subway stops. We knew we were cutting it close as our train left at 9:06. We were doing well and waiting to catch the last subway which was only one stop away when an announcement was made. Of course it was in French so not sure ...

... some lunch and then we said our goodbyes and left for Rothenburg. The traffic by the major cities in Germany was absolutely painful. A four hour drive ended up being about five and a half so it wasn't desirable at all. At least we had each other's company. The drive was beautiful nonetheless. We got to Rothenburg just as the sun was setting. It is such a picturesque town built inside the old city walls. We drove to about ten hotels and literally none had room. ...
