Woke to a very misty morning, and the Port of Dinan looked entirely different. We headed off early (for us!) to catch a boat to cruise along the Rance to St Malo. The mist made the river very atmospheric, though the downside was not being able to see very clearly the very pretty villages along the way. The river at Dinan is quite narrow, but as we headed along towards the sea, became a very wide estuary with a lot of river traffic. Very ...

The village was packed with tourists and souvenir shops. We opted for a 4 ticket package to 4 sites on the island. Luckily not many people were doing this and we didn't have a lot of people around. ...

... banks of the river has many half timbered houses and flowers everywhere. Out for dinner in the port if dinan, so just a stroll across the bridge. Highlight if my meal a plate of local seafood, the concoysters probably the best I've eaten, though not so keen on the bulos which were something like a whelk, but luckily david managed to eat them.

... views down over the port of dinan where we are staying. Lunch and people watching in an old square and off to the supermarket for a few supplies. Much easier walking down the hill back to our house. Bit of a sit in the sun with my book. Having dinner at home tonight quick and easy mushroom and leek ...
