      ... served i.e. "Cafes Folliet", but mine had lost the top of the 'F' and clearly said " Cates Folliet". Quick research on tables in near vicinity showed their saucers all said " Cafes". Just a coincidence probably, but it did stop me in my tracks. But I smiled inwardly thinking of Cate's mischievous sense of humour. She was very spiritual; who knows?

      It snowed again overnight. Another good fall so skiing is definitely now on the agenda. In preparation we travelled through postcard perfect scenery back into La Clusaz to organise final equipment.       The weather reports are confidently anticipating snow so yesterday I drove back into La Clusaz to purchase ski boots and get my skis waxed in readiness for some skiing. It was a beautiful sunny day but maximum temperature was just 2 C.
