... would be a certain path to follow but as we went along we couldn't see a proper path so we just of followed people and used our instincts. As we walked along we saw the impeccable natural phenomenas and some cool man made things as well, including the fastest speed ice skating track on Earth and some extremely cleverly built houses that provide suitable protection from the large amounts of snow that falls in winter. After we continued ...

Back to check in to our hotel on the Lido Island, very different from anyplace else we have stayed before, but lovely just the same, and so very colorful. Dinner with the group, once again, was wonderful. Apparently though, I'm becoming a wino. We joined 6 other couples who closed up the place and finished off about a dozen bottles of wine. Hopefully this is not a habit I'll be bringing home with me.

    Bona Note.

Had some free time to explore Venice, so went walking through the lane ways and to the Rialto Bridge which looks over the Grand Canal. Lots of people! Apparently the fishermen used to come home drunk ...

... Venice so we just grabbed a few groceries for the night and next day, did some laundry and headed to sleep.June 2We woke up and took the short train ride into Venice city center. As soon as you left the train station, you walked out onto a canal and there were taxis (boat taxis) waiting to take you where you wanted to go, or you could walk around the town over and next to the canals. The area was cool to look at, all ...

... the machine but it kept rejecting our credit cards so, I went to the information desk and got us each a 72 hour pass. Then, we hopped on the 5.2 vaporetto to Ospedale. It was an easy, although slightly crowded, ride. The day was sunny and beautiful and who doesn't like a boat ride? Our stop was on the lagoon so we exited the canals and it felt like we were at sea.

I texted our AirBnB host, Orial, to let him know we were on our way. It turns out, he ...
