... Tonight I managed to stay awake to go out for dinner. We went to Swiss Louis on Pier 39. Steve had the San Francisco signature dish Crab Louis which is an iceberg lettuce salad topped with shredded Dungeness crab and seafood dressing. I had a caprese salad and Dungeness crab cakes. Very light and fresh compared to all the fried food on offer. I also had a San Francisco Sea Breeze, a mixture of vodka, cranberry and pineapple juice. Stopping to see the sea lions again ...

... and went across the street to a nice wee bar called Buena Vista on the corner of Beach Street and Hyde Street which was serving Irish Coffees by the bucket load! A great way to warm up from the cold! They even offered 'take out'! We could see the queue from the bar so were able to gauge the right time to head back out there. There was a guy busking alongside the queue and he was quite funny so if it hadn't so cold, we could have gladly stood out here ...
