... a 'no foreign tourist' policy, making us feel rather unwelcome. The room was the best of a very bad bunch, just before going to sleep a little mouse scurried across the floor. ... ourselves for round 2. Once again for food display was just boggling. The amount of food on offer was just too confusing for our full bellies.
But we gave it our best shot!
Just to say we had had another terrific day with our new friends in the city of Indore.
Until we came here we had never heard of Indore nor knew anyone here.
So a BIG "Thank You" to Sunil, MJ, Ashish and Diksha especially, for making our visit so memorable.
Left around 9.30am to Omkarshwar. Reached around 11 am. Caught by temple touts, vijay shelled 1000 Rs. The lying am was really small and enclosed in glass. The pimRis were standing n pouring milk. ... in the evening. It is odd how easy it is to feel at home and settled nowadays in so few hours and how I feel like I vaguely fit in in India now. (Even though I clearly don't.) I'm eating with my hands, using squat toilets, bucket showers, attempting to drink water without touching the rim ... Nearly choking ... But trying.
