... own bathroom and bedroom. And we gave them the big bathroom. :). Ate dinner at pizzeria up the street. Really good spinach stuffed tortellini. Allie (of course) got pizza. Girls found out there was a hot tub in the hotel. And they kept it open later so they could enjoy. They were in need of relaxation after that tough car ride sleeping and coloring (Allie) and reading. ...
... it quickly became a joke to watch out for them. Sadly, I cannot say we missed them all and there were a few casualties.
The hike worked mainly through forest with limited views, and we quickly learned how signifcant the terrain was with steep uphills and limited switchbacks. ... and shrouding the mountains above. The forecast called for thunderstorms after noon, so we made a concerted effort to get to breakfast and start our day. Yvette, the hotel manager treated us to a pleasant European style breakfast with homemade bread, croissants, jam, and fresh brewed coffee and tea. This has been the common style at both places we have stayed, but we all found the food selection to be both enjoyable and filling.
