... loving the meals I recall so fondly from 20 (!) years ago. Brynn loved the dirty rice, Annie loved the ribs, and Katie loved the smoked sausage. On the road with full tummies, we were back on I-10 east. The girls slept soundly for 90 minutes and somehow we'd all magically digested our lunch enough to be ready for drive-thru milkshakes for snack. We made good time and drove all the way to Baton Rouge and checked into a little two bedroom suite for a relaxed ...
... small museum. I'm not keen on that kind of history, but my driver wanted to go check it out.
Coming back it alternated between brilliant sunshine and rain so hard it was difficult to see the road ahead. Thankfully only a brief patch to drive through.
Tomorrow we're on the move again to Natchez. It's also steeped in history, so fingers crossed we embrace more of this lovely area's past

Day 19 May 28 W Locarno: Water taxi to San Lucia Train Station at 630 am; train to Milano; train to Bellinzona, and train to Locarno; met at station by Luigi and Barbara and escorted to apartment- what a beautiful view of Lake Maggiore ...
... which captured and filtered water into the centrally located well. A dramatic stairwell- The Stairs of Giants- leads from the piazza level to the Palace. I've included some photos taken in and from the piazza.
