... who we ignored and walked away from. The Rio bus terminal is not a great place to be, at any time of the day.

Still feeling terrible we got our bus ticket, charged our **** and then got on bus to Conceição de Jacareí. I fell asleep straight away and woke up at our destination 3 hours later feeling $1,000,000! I swear it was the coconut. We were destined for a place called Ilha Grande so we got on a boat with 4 italian ...

That's the update for now, hope it wasn't too long winded, but there is so much good to say about this city - the pictures should also give you an idea. Tonight we go on a boat party in Guanabara Bay - it'll be packed with Gringos, but that's fun too! /

On Saturday we chilled on Ipanema beach for a couple of hours which was very hot. The sea was very cold though and there were some huge (at least for me) waves! I went in for a swim a couple of times and the current was ...

... in more detail and went for something to eat at the aforementioned cafe. The sense of community spirt was tangible and it arguably felt safer than the centre of Rio. It was when the tour was coming to an end that Mohammed got wind of news that the German team were on the beach. What happened next did border on the ridiculous, with our guide going from educated traveller to excited child in a matter of seconds. We followed Mohammed as he dashed down to the beach and met ...

The last few days have been seriously full on, so we decided to have a chill day. No alarms, no where to be, a day just to chill and do whatever. Renato asked us a couple of days ago if we wanted to go out one night and tonight he was going to take us to Lapa which is the party district downtown. I woke up at about 8.30am and went for my run. My shirt however I did not wash properly and by this point was super nasty. It stunk. So on the way to my little park all I could smell ...
