We had booked a tour from 12.30pm so we decided to spend the morning seeing central Lucerne in the daylight. The day was cloudy but at least there was no rain. This was predicted to be our best day in Lucerne weather wise. We strolled on the Kapellbrucke (Chapel Bridge) again and wandered some of the old city.

We packed up and cleaned up the apartment where we were staying at 2 Rue Loubon, Aix en Provence. I think we left it cleaner than we found it. ... cut the grass about 5 times a summer and store it to feed the cattle in winter, there are little wooden drying sheds everywhere and Swiss brown cows with large bells.
after about an hour we called at the farmers house and his wife gave us morning tea. this is an Insight exclusive so no crowds.

... was buried in Lake Pilatus nearby. (The Main Street our hotel was just off was also Pilatusstrasse). During warmer months you get to go up by ferry and then cog railway, but as the railway was understandably not running (there was a lot of snow on the tracks), we went up and back by cable car (gondola for the first ~5km or so, and then by aerialway the last km).
