... fun and were glad to see some locals play to an energetic crowd. It wasn't a long walk home. And once again, these cities are totally safe. We've never felt threatened in the least, but we are aware of our surroundings and always check with people on safety issues before going out at night. It's kind of like asking if it's safe to walk around Disneyland when it gets dark.

Thursday, June 26 will always be a day to remember. Why? Because it is the day that I accepted that God has some plan for me in Vienna. Where did this all come from? Well, it's a story full of fun, maps, and chocolate. When I returned to work on Wednesday, I was told that I was going to Vienna the next day to take Stacy to the office and then give her a whirlwind tour of this beautiful city. We got there ...

      Travel day to Bratislava

I had about an hour and a half to wait so I grabbed some lunch at the bus station and then hopped on my next bus to Bratislava. It was about a five and a half hour ride and it was pretty nice. The scenery once we got into Slovakia was really nice. There were a lot of farms, a few castles, and a couple of mountains. It was raining ...

... Our tour guide gave us a challenge to find this other monument which is apparently two ladies sitting on a park bench with a dog at their feet. We failed to find it, but a few of us decided to be creative and take a picture of us pretending we were this statue. We had some more time to enjoy the delights of this city and grab some lunch, then it was back on the road to cross over to our third country of the day, ...

Day 34, Topdeck day 3, Vienna via Bratislava

... Back on the bus and off to Vienna. Thankfully only another 1.5 hour drive. Apparently Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna are the 3 closest capitals in Europe. Arrive in Vienna just after 1, and go straight to the schnapps museum. This was pretty cool. We got a quick run down of how some of the liqueurs are made as well as a few testers. I tried the caramel cream liqueur which was delicious, tasted just like baileys. The choc banana ...
