      Oh dear. We had no idea our travels in our "shuttle" would be in a compact car over a mountain road in the snow. It was only snowing lightly but our surroundings were a wonder winter land.       ... This little brewery which is state owned by the Czech government has been in a lawsuit for over 25 years with the Anheiser-Busch company about the Budweiser name. Budvar was forced to fight a trademark lawsuit in just over 60 countries. In America the beer is called Czechvar, everywhere else it is called Budweiser. They also brew a lager beer just for the locals which keeps the traditional Czech name, Budejovicy.

      ... walls were still painted with paint from the 1600's and there were huge, bright tapestries on the walls. There was a ball-room type room painted yellow with "Comedia Del'Arte" characters all over the walls. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures.
