We then strolled along the rest of Las Ramblas to the marina and then headed to the Magic Fountain (Font Màgica) where we were entertained with a music and light show coordinated with ever changing water streams. Very cool. It is situated at the foot of the National Museum of Art which makes and excellent back drop, or viewing ...

... was a dramatization of the sense
of vulnerability that was simmering as I embarked on this journey. There were plenty of well-intended warnings
particularly about Spanish men, and I had plenty of questions about my capacity
to travel alone for an extended period of time, especially with a heavy
suitcase and a sensitive body. My belief
in the rightness of this journey, and my full-hearted engagement with this new
