... with their siblings (similarities with ours abound) while the parents enjoy the onsen and clean themselves. We watched the monkeys until it became too cold and then back on the bus and back to Nozawa Onsen.

We’d bought some groceries during the day and used the kitchen back at the Lodge to cook up some soba noodles with Pork. Not as good as the local restaurants but the kids enjoyed a night in.

... slushier in the afternoon - we decided to ski the morning, have lunch on the mountain and then ski home or catch the gondola. On Wednesday, we were about to ski Skyline home, when the fog arrived just as we were about to hike the last bit. ... pm and made the decision to head back to Nagano to find some dinner. Our timing meant that we caught the local train rather than the express which stopped at every station and got a bit tedious. ... the group were soaking in there all nice and warm. Apart from the crowds of people jostling for a good spot to take photos, it was a lovely experience. The little puffy ones were running around and chasing each other, one grabbed a guys lens and looked straight into it, very cute.
